What I loved most about this book was the complete transparency of the author. Tiffany Jovan was unapologetically honest about her experiences in a very tangible way. The format of the book was exceptional, as it allowed the reader to dive into Tiffany's story, while offering practical tools to address our own maladaptive behaviors and familial issues. Tiffany's reference to generational curses and the parallels she made within her family, was pivotal in understanding how we often end up making choices that reinforce curses. Our ability to acknowledge these issues proactively will serve as the catalysts to change our own families. I would highly recommend EVERYONE take the time to read this book cover to cover, including utilizing the affirmations at the end of the book. This was an exceptional read, written by an exceptional author!!

I was engrossed from the time I opened it.
It was a short read but truly engaging.
The author was very transparent and open about her experiences which is often missing in many autobiographical type books. I appreciate her tremendously for sharing.

I am so proud of Tiffany for overcoming all that she did in this book. I am also glad that she chose to be extremely transparent and open about her experiences as a young woman. The story of triumph is so very inspiring. I can't wait for the next book.

This text was absolutely soul baring. I read it one go, because I could not put it down. I wept, I admired, I learned. Tiffany helps us to see the need to work on our negative judgements toward others and ourselves. It is our experiences of others that normally make up who we are, but what I love about this book is, it encourages us to see we have the power to change the narrative of our lives, which will help us to create better experiences for ourselves and our bloodline. She uses biblical texts as resources to further promote healing to take place, and affirmations to inspire.

This book embodied WOMANHOOD! As women we experience many tough times in life and keep these burdens to ourselves, not realizing many women around us have gone through the exact same thing, if not worse. In this book, the author shares her life story and how she overcame challenging experiences with the help of God. Her testimony is powerful and I encourage any mother, daughter, sister, friend or even college student to read this book. There is so much wisdom and vulnerability throughout these pages. Amazing job to the author, can't wait for the next read!

It feels strange to review something so personal. The writing style makes you feel like the author is a close friend telling you her story. It's raw and honest and emotional and inspiring. Beautiful. A must read!
